Commissioning
Building Systems Commissioning
Commissioning is an essential process when it comes to ensuring that building systems are functioning at optimum performance. As a NEBB-certified building system commissioning contractor, our specialized team of engineers and technicians is expert in identifying and resolving even the most challenging commissioning problems.
Hands-on commissioning means superior performance
At MSC, we believe commissioning requires a thorough hands-on approach that, ideally, includes performing or observing equipment startup whenever possible. Checklist-reliant commissioning efforts, which are often performed by personnel with limited field experience, can be largely ineffective in identifying more complex functional issues. While important, documentation is only a portion - not the main objective - of the larger commissioning process.
Real-time solutions
Our hands-on commissioning team resolves even the most challenging problems in real time, allowing projects to remain on-time and within budget. Basic "checklist"-type commissioning relies on installing contractors to return at a later time to remedy documented functional issues, leading to disruptions, cost overruns, and project delays.
Commissioning expertise
MSC's commissioning specialists are expert in functional performance testing of a wide variety of building systems and processes that include HVAC, process cooling, BAS, refrigeration, air and water balancing, air handler performance, electrical, steam and chilled water systems, and plumbing systems. Our commissioning process includes verifying sequence of operation, instrument calibration, as well as, qualification of installation, operation, and performance (IQ / OQ / PQ).
